Detroit red Beetroot is an excellent standard open pollinated (OP) variety, well adapted prolific producer with good heat tolerance. This plant matures in 65 – 75 days from planting and forms a globe shape with a uniform dark red flesh on cutting open. at a spacing of 10 cm x 25 cm, when using about 3,200g per acre, the anticipated yield is 8,000 – 10,000 kg/acre.
